Meet Account Coordinator: Cassidy Luer

How long have you worked at Something Social?
I have worked at Something Social for about 3 months now!

Tell us about a day in the life of being an Account Coordinator.
Everyday is different but the one thing that is always constant is I start everyday with an iced coffee. It sets my mood for the day. After that my days mostly consists of creating content calendars, posting to various accounts, creating instagram stories, editing photos, and attending shoots, meetings, etc!

In your spare time you are…
I love taking photos and curating a personal brand on social media. Creating content and turning it into something aesthetically pleasing is what makes me happy. I love going out for a glass of wine with my girls, going on drives down PCH with my bf, long walks, cooking, and coffee dates. I also LOVE of self care and make it a priority to practice self care as often as I can. Face masks, manicures, essential oils, working out, and eating healthy are all ways I practice self care on the daily.

Something Social is basically a one-stop shop for all content management and creation for clients. How do you manage it all and where do you draw your inspiration for content?
I manage it all by organizing my tasks by priority as well as what will take the most/least time. So something I do every morning is catch up on all of my community management so I know I have responded/liked all comments, DMs, etc. I know this doesn’t take long and it is something I can knock out first thing in the morning before I jump into a longer taks. Another thing I do is make lists, I write down everything I have to do for the day and cross it off as I do it so I don’t let anything slip through the cracks.
I draw my inspiration for content from other accounts, as well as things that are currently trending in pop culture and the instagram space. I also look at my surroundings and the people around me. Living in LA is great for drawing inspiration (especially fashion) because there are so many different types of people and so much to see and do.

What’s your favorite thing about working for Something Social?
My favorite thing about working for Something Social is the people I work with and how everyone is willing to help each other out at any moment. They have all been very kind and welcoming from day 1. It is very important for me to work in a space that has good company culture and Something Social definitely does.

What do you love most about working in social media?
I love that working in social media challenges me to expand my creativity and constantly improve and grow creatively. I also feel like working in social media keeps me up to date on how the industry is growing and changing which is so important to stay on top of in today’s world.

What three characteristics do you think have gotten you where you are today?
Positivity
Passion
Kindness

Favorite place in LA?

Malibu. The beaches, the restaurants, the drive.
