Summer is coming to a close and we’re sad to see it go. Working hard should always be balanced with playing hard, but the sunniest of seasons is always a peak of coastal relaxation and social sipping for our team. We’re reflecting on our sun-flecked summer memories, affirming our achievements, and setting our sights on fall.

What were your favorite memories of your summer?
I traveled to London and the English Countryside for a wedding for one of my closest friends, and the whole experience was pure magic. I went abroad and lived in London for 6 months, so every time I go back to visit it feels like I’m going home in a way, plus I was able to reconnect with friends from high school and college, and truly just had a blast. The wedding was GOALS (congrats Siena & Brian!), and my team held it down in LA while I was gone, which really allowed me to enjoy my time.
Your biggest summer successes?
This summer has been one of the most exciting / challenging / growthful in so many ways. Social media truly never sleeps, so even the summer months can be extremely busy. We’ve had a few particularly exciting (*cough* stressful) projects, but when I remember to sit back and find the gratitude in pushing myself to the next level, then I can view even the tough days as successes. OH! And our new website finally launched! Huge win!
Do you have any goals going into the fall?
New season means new growth, both personally and professionally. Hate to be that person, but I’m going to be that person and say you’ll have to stay tuned to see what’s next!

Did you uphold any summer traditions this year?
This year I brought back an old family summer tradition of taking a family road trip. I went on an amazing photography trip to North & South Dakota with both of my parents and got to spend a lot of time in the car with them between cities. Being from Florida, it was a special treat because I don’t get to see them too often.
What summertime accomplishment are you the most proud of?
This year was a very busy summer for us at Something Social, we finally launched our new website, helped clients launch multiple new concepts and businesses and worked on our biggest strategy project to date. While I didn’t get to enjoy that many summer Friday’s, being busy and challenged at work was very fulfilling.
What do you look forward to every fall?
Hands down, football season. I went to USC and love getting together with friends every year to go to games or watch them together at a local bar. Fight on!

What were your favorite memories of your summer?
HOW is summer already over?! I was lucky enough to take some great mini trips this summer: Marfa, Palm Springs, and Florida. They were all really special in their own ways but my favorite memories are the casual get-togethers with friends! There was one Saturday where, remarkably, all of my friends were in town and none of us had plans. We all met at the beach and just had the best, most relaxing time, and then went back to my friends place for pizza. That was a good day!
What summertime accomplishment are you the most proud of?
Cleaning out my apartment! I don’t do purges that often but when I do, I go for it. It’s not fun or glamorous at all but it was a daunting task and now that it’s done I feel incredible!
Do you have any goals going into the fall?
Moving! (Hence the apartment purge.) I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect place for a while and I really feel like it’s going to happen soon.

Did you uphold any summer traditions this year?
Yes! We try to go to Rhode Island every July to visit my boyfriends family. It’s always a crazy time of the summer but we carved out a few days for vacation and it was well worth it.
Your biggest summer successes?
I’m really happy and proud of everything I (and my amazing team) have accomplished over the last few months. Usually, summer is a time for businesses to slow down and take it easy but I feel like we have worked really hard and laid the groundwork for a strong start to Fall.
Do you have any goals going into the fall?
Balance! Coming off of a busy working summer I have a few fun trips planned for Fall. Hoping to successfully manage the work hard play hard mentality.

Your biggest summer successes?
Releasing my third single “Lay Down” and getting featured on Spotify’s “New Music Friday” Also got to play Hotel Cafe which is one of my favorite venues in LA to see live music.
Do you have any goals going into the fall?
Too many to count. One non professional goal is to visit my cousin in Seattle. She just moved there and has been exploring some beautiful places from the looks of her photos!

What were your favorite memories of your summer?
I love going to Cinespia at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery in the summer (I went three times this year!). They show great movies and it’s so much fun to pack a picnic and watch a movie with friends under the stars.
Your biggest summer successes?
Moving! Finding and moving into a new place is always easier said than done, and over the summer I was able to find a new apartment I REALLY love. I also walked a lot, which is saying a lot given Los Angeles is not what most would consider a walkable city.
Do you have any goals going into the fall?
Keeping a balanced life. I just started my penultimate semester at LMU so balancing academics and career is hugely important to me. It definitely takes a conscious effort to manage all of that work while still maintaining a social life and staying healthy!

Did you uphold any summer traditions this year?
Yes! Every Summer for as long as I can remember my family and I have been going to Oregon for the 4th of July. My grandparents live out there and it is always so great to get out of the city for a few days to enjoy the beautiful Oregon nature and spend time with my extended family.
What summertime accomplishment are you the most proud of?
I am most proud of being promoted! I have grown a lot with SSLA in a short amount of time and it’s a really great feeling when you see your hard work being recognized.
What do you look forward to every fall?
I LOVE the holidays, so I am always looking forward to being one step closer to cozy weather and stuffing my face with all the food.
Kelsey
What were your favorite memories of your summer?
My birthday! I’m a 4th of July baby and this year my mom came to visit. We did the LA Zoo and just had a day of general R&R. It was awesome.
What summertime accomplishment are you the most proud of?
I’m proud of the progress I’ve made establishing good habits (i.e. going to bed early, lemon water in the morning). Hopefully, I’ll be able to maintain them come Thanksgiving and X-mas.
Do you have any goals going into the fall?
I’d like to get back into getting up in the morning for a long walk. I love walking in the crisp, fall air.
Kaeleigh
Did you uphold any summer traditions this year?
Yes! Every year I go to the Summer Solstice parade with my family and friends in Santa Barbara. It always lands the same weekend as my birthday, so its a really great way to center myself in my roots and be surrounded by people who matter in preparing my next trip around the sun!
I also have a new summer food obsession where I eat/drink something close to every day. A few years ago it was lemonade every day of July. This year its been soft serve.
Your biggest summer successes?
Joining Something Social and really finding my place in this amazing company has been huge. I’m also slowly but surely redecorating my apartment and am finally seeing it start to take shape with some pretty key pieces.
Do you have any goals going into the fall?
With learning a new job and being super busy with trips and social obligations during the summer, it’s been hard to stay in a routine. I’m working on going to bed and waking up earlier, meal prepping, and going to the gym consistently. The fall is going to be all about finding balance and rhythm.
